GRAMMY-nominated artist and producer, RY X, is constantly in pursuit of connection.
Connection to nature, to spirit, and to the human experience – honest expression is at the
core of his work and what he evokes as an artist. He has toured around the world oscillating
between performances in stunning venues like St. Paul's Cathedral and Notre Dame to clubs
like Panorama Bar and Fabric. He has released sets with Cercle and Boiler Room, and played
countless big stage festivals and arenas.
RY has produced and written in many facets of electronic music, with artists like Drake, Rampa / Keinemusik, ÂME, Black Coffee, Whomadewho, Adriatique, Diplo, Maya Jane Cole and many others. He has received multiple number 1 tracks on the Beatport charts, and been nominated for electronic song of the year, as well as Grammy wins with Black Coffee and other recognitions in electronic music categories.
RY X has DJ’d as guest alongside Dixon, Dj Tennis and AME at places like Rakastella
and Sacred Ground, along with sets at Coachella and Burning Man. Though he has only
recently debuted this year as a headlining DJ to a sold out club in Fabric, London. His sets
expand beyond his production and are an exploration of sound and genre, blending influences from his lineage in Berlin with his travels and musical influences around the world. He plays in a strong and unique style, blending tracks and rhythms that keep people moving and leaning in while holding an innate balance of tension and ecstatic moments of release. He continues to release work with his two electronic hybrid projects, ‘Te Acid’, and ‘Howling’ with Frank Wiedemann and loves to engage all forms of artistic expression with his heart at the fore.
His work as a whole is multifaceted, and is continually based in a reflection of what it ultimately means to be human, in its wide range of somatic and emotional experiences. Having spent much of his career selling out concert halls around the world, and performing with orchestras and electronic artists alike, this shift into the DJ world will continue to see Ry holding connective experiences for his audiences, through movement and sound.
